Contest Entry Information and Rules
The Opinionated Parents reserve the right to change these rules at any time, just because we feel like it.
*These are very generalized rules that apply to most of our giveaways.
*Our contests are all drawn randomly using random.org’s random integer generator.
*Entries may be via comment or email. Read carefully.
*Contests are generally open for 1 week but, again, read carefully. Some are shorter, some are longer.
*Regardless of whether we’ve had the time to go in and close the comments, only comments left before the deadline will qualify.
*Winners will have 72 hours to respond to our email before another winner is drawn. If this happens, the prize is forfeited by the original winner.
*Readers who enter contests will be required to give us their name and mailing address should they win. These are used only for mailing purposes and are then deleted.
*We endeavour to announce the winner within the contest posts. Particularly if you are a blogger who leaves a url, we will link to you if you win. If not, we usually don’t bother. This blog is just a hobby, after all, and that takes time. It’s just not a priority, you know? We’d rather spend the time bringing you more great reviews and contests.
Multiple Entries
1. Readers get one entry for commenting or emailing their answer to the question posed in the post. Most contests will require that you visit the sponsoring site to enter. Don’t be lazy. If they’re generous enough to offer a prize, you can take the time to visit their website. If it’s obvious that you didn’t, your entry will be disqualified.
You can get up to four additional entries in our contests, unless we state otherwise in the post.
2. Blog about the contest using one of the top three images found here. Leave a comment or send an email (which ever method is stated in the post) with the direct link to your post (not to your main page, and in a separate comment or email from your other entry).
