Every family eventually reaches the stage when kids start to express strong opinions about what and when, if ever, they’re going to wear certain items of clothing.

When they start to refuse coats in the often-iffy weather, po po’s ponchos has your answer. The un-coat coat the kids will actually wear!

Po po’s ponchos are proudly Canadian made in Vancouver, BC by par-entrepreneur Karen Stark. They’ve got some fab features that I was very impressed with.

1. The main fabric is lush & soft - your choice of micro fleece or CVC fleece, just like your favourite hoodie.
2. The cotton lining is printed and matches the trim.
3. There’s a snap closure at the neckline to keep the chills away. This also helps it fit a smaller child and makes the same size last even longer!
4. There are clever snaps at each side to create arm holes if you wish. They’re not overly noticeable at all and can be left open without looking undone but create a tighter and more secure “coat” when that’s what your little one is in the mood for. (Because you know darn well that you’ve got no say in it, right?)
5. The front muff pocket is lined & cozy and the perfect size for two hands and a few treasures picked up along the way.
