Record a Story – a perfect gift from here or there!
Record-a-Story is one of the coolest gifts I’ve seen this year – at least of the ones in the inexpensive category. It’s only $20 from their website and we also saw it for $13.99 at our local Costco. These recordable storybooks were designed for children of all ages, and are a wonderful gift idea for out-of-town relatives, a parent who is away from home frequently, or someone in the military assigned to a faraway land. Or parents like me who just love awesome personalized heirloom gifts. There are several titles available but at this time of year there’s nothing like ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. Children will delight in the sound of a loved one’s voice when they open this book. A recordable dedication page lets them know this is a story just for them, and each time they turn the page, Christmas music plays, and they hear the familiar voice of a loved one reading the classic holiday story. The personalized voice recording will be locked in these pages so your child can enjoy this book year after year. Such a special gift for such an awesome price is, well, pretty awesome.
Win it! We’re giving away a copy of the Record-a-Story ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas to a T.O.P. reader. To enter, comment here before noon mst on December 13, 2010.

This was always part of our family tradition, to read “Twas the Night Before Christmas”. I can’t wait to introduce it to my little guy.
