Pumpin’ Pal
I have breastfed all three of my children. In fact, I am still breastfeeding my youngest who is 3 months old. I have been fortunate that I have never had to supplement with anything else and my kids thrive on the breast milk I produce. I do not find it a burden, nor do I feel tied down by nursing. However, I know those are genuine concerns for some breastfeeding moms.
Pumping milk with a breast pump is a solution to those feelings. Pumping also allows mothers who have to return to work to still provide the perfect food for their babies and/or toddlers. Pumping breast milk is not easy for many mothers, though. It can be uncomfortable, unsuccessful and frustrating. Anything that can help is always welcome.
Pumpin’ Pal products have been designed to take some of that discomfort and frustration away, making pumping a little easier for mothers.
I tried out a few of Pumpin’ Pal products with my mini electric Medela breast pump. First off Pumpin’ Pal Super Shields, let me say WOW! I have never used a breast shield (honestly I didn’t get what they did) however adding this attachment to my breast pump made a HUGE difference. Not only was pumping way more comfortable, because the pulling/pumping sensation was dispersed over a larger area of the breast, I was able to pump more breast milk, faster. Pumpin’ Pal Super Shields, are designed so you do not have to lean forward when pumping, and for comfort not necessarily to pump more, but I was able to pump 4.5 oz in less than 10 minutes.
The Pumpin’ Pals Hands-Free Strap is a cool contraption. Simple yet sure to be effective for double breast pumps. Who wouldn’t want to pump, read and comment on The Opinionated Parent at the same time? I only have a single pump, so I was unable to try it out for myself but I loved the simplicity of it.
Included in this amazingĀ All-In-One package, Pumpin’ Pals sent a Pocket Guide to Breastfeeding and an Air-Dry Accessory bag. I read through the guide, which would totally be handy for a new mom. The accessory bag is great to keep it all together and easy to find when I need to pump.
Breast feeding and pumping breast milk is a demanding, yet rewarding feat, Pumpin’ Pal products are definitely a great addition to making it easier for moms. – By Chelle

I thought the funnels on the pump itself were also called breast shields? its just that you can get shields that fit you better?

Oh, I’d love this. I’m going to need to pump when I go back to work in a few months and have a heck of a time getting any milk out my machine.

Hi, I too am still nursing but mine is a little older, he just turned 21 months. My friend on the other hand has a four month old and could probably use this quite a bit. Thanks for the entry.

Wow, never heard of this product. I’m currently breastfeeding and I hate having to lean forward while pumping. Hard on my already hard-working back. I just started going back to work this week so I’m on the lookout for working mom-friendly products to make life easier.
