Music Week: Domo Arigato, Mr. Leebot
When the CD Robot Dance from Mr. Leebot showed up in my mailbox to review, all I could think of was Styx for weeks every time I walked by the CD sitting in my entryway awaiting it’s turn in the stereo. (Seriously, if you were a child of the 80′s, you must click.)
Anyhoo…once Mr. Leebot‘s ROBOT DANCE (currently out of stock at Amazon) but available from CD Baby) finally made it into a player, I forgot all about that awesome decade and…started dancing like a robot. Yes, you read that right. I looked like an idiot, but I couldn’t stop. Soon both of my kids were doing makeshift robotics alongside me and we were all cracking up. It’s just as you’d imagine it would be – electro-pop with an undeniable 80′s flair. It’s completely different than anything else we own. Perhaps the missing genre of kids music?
So thank you very much (English translation of “domo arigato”), Mr. Leebot, for a very enjoyable CD!
