FUNKY KIDZ
Mother of two Lauren Busch Singer of ASAP Productions has produced a great new CD with the help of her 10 year old son Jake.
(How cool is that? Jake has got to be the coolest kid in school.)
FUNKY KIDZ features 12 of New Orleans’ finest artists (Nevilles, The Radiators, George Porter Jr., Theresa Andersson and more) doing crazy funked up covers of classic kids songs we all know and love. Think Zip a Dee Doo Dah, Yellow Submarine and the funkiest rendition of the Hokey Pokey you’ve ever heard. It’s danceable, even for me. It’s funky, it’s complex and it’s totally not kiddie crap. It’s as good as what I’d listen to if the kids weren’t with me, and that’s the kind of CD I want my kids to love. And love it they do.
