Singing Along to a New Tune or Two

We are always on the lookout for quality and entertaining music to listen to with our children. While the classics are great, it is nice to have a variety. As soon as our copy of Randy Kaplan’s CD Five Cent Piece, arrived we popped it into the player to check it out.

Randy Kaplan’s voice and the music are sweet and mellow. Perfect for unwinding and chilling out to. Randy Kaplan introduces us to some new songs like Grape Juice Hesitation Blues and The Motorcycle Song, as well as some classics such as You are My Sunshine , Over the Rainbow and You Can’t Always Get What You Want (with a twist).

I really like the idea of introducing well known songs to my children while enjoying a safe children’s collection. Besides it gives us something we can all sing-a-long  to right from the start.

We have thoroughly enjoyed Randy Kaplan’s Five Cent Piece, so much in fact it is now our son’s drift off to sleep music so we listen to it every night. -by Chelle

   I love this cd! I find myself singing many of the songs to myself at work. Everything from Kaplan’s originals to the crafty adaptations of Stones and Woody Guthrie songs make it great for listening and singing along to for both kids and parents. And to add an Eminem reference the “Hey Mike” track was, for me, the creamer to this delicious brew of musical greatness. I always crack a smile when I hear the phone ring.

    I too am always on the lookout for creative yet appropriate music for our children. Music is a big thing in our house and we really try to foster that in our boys. We are always dancing. So thank you for the chance to win this CD.
