The newest addition to my van tunes is the new CD from Bari Koral Famly Band. I had this review all done for you a couple of weeks ago but lost it in the great upgrade debacle of 2008. It’s much shorter now, but a great CD nevertheless.

With track names like “Dad’s New Car” and “A Day at the Beach,” the lyrics are obviously kid-friendly but the tunes are a parent delight. Bari has a breathy Norah Jones-ish sound that appeals to rock fans of all ages – (listen here). It’s a totally welcome addition to our family collection. It even received high compliments from my husband – “This doesn’t suck like lots of them do.” From him, that’s amazing for anything intended for the kids. I’ve heard they’re even better in person so if you ever have the chance to see them be sure to let us know!
