Because every kid is a hero at heart
Have you ever had to take your kid out shopping with a towel tied around their neck because they refused to leave their super-alter-ego at home?
Towels and sheets are great for the playroom but not so great for the mall or the grocery store.
I’m happy to announce that we’ve found the answer – Little Capers! Created by Jossamber Shapiro and Jessica Wise, Little Capers are “alternative Super Hero shirts” that come with fancy schmancy totally-cooler-than-a-dish-towel capes that easily attach and detach with Velcro.
There are so many things that I love about Little Capers, not least that they’re made by moms. I love that the unique designs allow for creative play without telling the kids what their power is. I love that the shirts are both non-violent and totally open to interpretation. I love the shimmery softness of the cape and the easily washable tee – a definite necessity after you’ve spent the day saving the world.
Win a Little Capers shirt of your choice! (This contest is open to Canadian and American readers only. Sorry for any inconvenience.) To enter, email theopinionatedparent@gmail.com before midnight MST on 10/11/07 with Little Capers in the subject line and tell us what Little Capers design describes a child you know, and why? Congratulations Adrienne!
