Music makes most of us happy – especially children. I’m always excited to receive CD’s to review because my son loves tunes and my husband I love to find new ways to let him dance up a storm without being painful to us.

When I put Robbi K‘s new CD, Music Makes Me Happy, into the stereo, I knew within a minute that we had another hit. The first song on the CD has a very different sound to anything we have played for our son in the past. As soon as it came on, he hopped into my lap and stared at the stereo. He slowly started to bounce a little bit and then hopped off my lap and started to boogie in his strange little riverdance-esque way.

In Robbi’s words, her music is for the “post-Barney and pre-Britney” crowd, but we’re sure enjoying it with our 16 month old as well. It’s an eclectic mix ranging from reggae to pop to world beat and more. It’s very likely like nothing you’ve ever heard. In a good way!
