The Amazon Hop is a fabulous game for kids aged 3-5 from T.O.P. favourite Moms On Edge.

It’s a simulated jungle adventure game. It’s played shoe-less with 16 stones and lily pads spread across the floor and ending with the ‘finish’ pad. (If you need a shorter game due to time constraints or less patient/younger kids, you just put fewer lily pads & stones out.)

The adult “safari guide” chooses a Good Behavior card and asks the child about how to behave in a specific situation. If they answer correctly (you decide the correct response), they get to spin the Jungle Activity Spinner, make a jungle noise or do a jungle dance, and move across the river. The first player to cross the jungle river wins. It’s fun all on it’s own, but I love that parents could easily make up their own questions to address any current situations their child might be struggling with.

They think they’re just playing a game. You’re getting your lessons across. Mutually beneficial quality time at its’ best!
