Kids with asthma can snuggle to their heart’s content
Parents of children with asthma and allergies are extra cautious about plush toys and fabrics that collect dust & allergens. Before now, stuffed toys were off limits for many of these families. The “asthma friendly®” toys from Kids Preferred are making their way into allergic homes everywhere to the delight of many children in need of a fuzzy cuddle! These certified toys don’t contain any fabric or fillings known to aggravate asthma. The toys maintain all safety requirements even after the allergen reduction procedure of freezing, washing and drying has occurred.
The directions from the website:
1. Freeze. Place toy inside a freezer bag, then place in freezer for 24 hours.
2. Wash/Dry. Machine wash warm, delicate cycle/tumble dry high. Do not use bleach or fabric softener. Recommend use of fabric bag for wash/dry cycle and allow toy to cool before giving toy to child.
3. Cuddle with confidence.
4. Repeat this process every certain number of weeks, as specifically directed for each toy.
Happy snuggling!
We’ve got an asthma friendly chihuahua to give away so that one lucky kid can breathe easier. Email theopinionatedparent@gmail.com with ASTHMA in the subject line and tell us where Kids Preferred is headquartered. Contest closes Wednesday night at midnight MST. Congratulations Sarah!
