Nicole is the quintessential Opinionated Parent. She’s always been exceedingly picky, and has grown to view that as a positive thing. It only got worse (better?) when she became a mother. Always on a quest to find the safest, healthiest and coolest products for her family, she founded The Opinionated Parent to promote some of the amazing par.entrepreneurs who makes stuff she loves, to highlight her favourite mom and child products and to, occasionally, roast the things she hates. She’s a semi-crunchy mother to a boy and a girl and a gaggle of pets, auntie to two perfect little girls and hails from western Canada.

As the TOP resident electronics guy, he reviews (and fixes when we break) anything that plugs in, has a motherboard or contains the word “digital.” He’s a sports freak, has a killer sense of humour and is finding his inner crunch as he does his best to keep his family healthy.

Chelle is an opinionated and hip, yet geeky Canadian Mom who lives in a gorgeous maritimes with her husband and two kids. Parenting has opened her eyes to living much more organically and she believes that less is more when it comes to her children. Although her hobbies range from web design to knitting, Chelle loves to shop, especially for her children. The quest for quality items for a fair price is one she is always on!

Jenny is a mom of two, a tween and a teen, with a husband of almost 19 years and a cat who is severely deprived of any love and attention whatsoever. When she isn’t busy trying to think of what to make for dinner, driving somebody somewhere and trying to schedule times for dates with her husband – she loves spending time with her friends, reading teen fiction, going to movies and, sometimes on a Sunday afternoon, taking a nap. She recently started working full time after caring for her children for the past almost 15 years …she needed a job outside of the home so she could have a rest!

Raised in the American South, Candice has been teaching ESL overseas since 2002. She has taught first graders in China and university students in Laos, and has spent time in Belize, Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, and Malaysia. She is mom to two sons. She loves to read, write, and eat delicious international foods. She’s a vegetarian, co-sleeping (same room, not same bed), elimination communication, cloth diapering type of Mama. Always one to root for the underdog, Candice fits well with the TOP goal of supporting small, parent-run businesses.
