A member of our team will contact you within 72 hours with an address to send samples and reader prizes. If you don’t hear from us within 72 hours, feel free to re-send your email as there’s a chance it’s floating cyberspace or in our spam folder. There’s also a chance life got in the way, but we do our best!
We do not return samples.
No exceptions will be made.
GIVEAWAYS
We rarely do reviews without a reader giveaway but will consider it occasionally for very high ticket items ($200 & up). Giveaways must include all shipping and handling charges to the winner, must be available for worldwide shipping, and cannot cost the winner anything to accept. (Because then it’s not really a prize, is it?) Alternatively, if not personalized the prize should be shipped to either the reviewer or senior editor – we’ll let you know – and we will take care of the shipping details.
What are we looking for?
Though we are open to anything, we especially love companies, products and services that are:
non-mainstream
outstandingly designed

organic
natural
non-toxic
safe
fun
sensitive to the needs and wants of parents and children living in the real world
We are particularly interested in items created by mothers or fathers and in Canadian-made products and indie designers.We really are open to anything, though, so don’t hesitate to contact us if you don’t quite meet the above criteria.
SHIPPING TO CANADA
Please keep in mind that T.O.P. will not be responsible for any shipping charges including customs/brokerage fees or duties so please ship accordingly. If you have the option to select “free domicile” with your shipping company, you must do so. If you need some shipping tips, just let us know. We’ve seen it all and have fairly strong opinions (surprise!) about shipping to Canada. Here’s a freebie: UPS SUCKS! We recommend Fed Ex (again, select “free domicile”) first followed by USPS global priority. For our Canadian reviewees, Canada post is perfectly fine and so is everyone else provided there are no C.O.D. charges.
Frequently Asked Questions
When will you let me know if my item will be reviewed?
Once we receive your email, we will do our best to respond to you within 72 hours and provide you with an address where you can send samples and/or reader prizes. If you have not heard from us within a reasonable amount of time, please contact us via email. Shipping internationally can take up to a month so please be patient if you’re not in Canada.
We make every effort to review products in a timely manner. Sometimes, however, real life (including parenting – our most important job!) gets in the way.
We do not generally post more than one review per day.
Will you tell me when the review is posted?
We will inform you when the review of your item(s) is scheduled to be posted and will send you the permalink.
Can we require a positive review?
Your submission is not guaranteed a super-positive warm review, but we do promise it will get honest feedback. You can’t find a cheaper marketing study than that ~ and it comes with free exposure to the parents of the internet!
Chances are, if it meets our criteria it will receive a nice review. We love to share good things with our readers!
How long will our review be posted?
That depends. You’ll have the top spot until the next review is posted. However…once your review moves from the top spot, it will be scrollable on the homepage for a period of time.
