The Opinionated Parent was founded in 2006 when an opinionated Canadian mom needed a place to share her fabulous finds and product reviews with parents around the world.

Why?

To highlight some of the many amazing par.entrepreneurs worldwide who provide safe, healthy, fun and just plain cool stuff for kids and their parents.

To bring customers seeking quality and small businesses producing quality together.

Because we’re opinionated and because we can.

Outside of samples for review, The Opinionated Parents are not compensated for reviews, nor do we get any sort of commissions if you click through, with the exception of Amazon links on book reviews. Reviews are 100% honest, objective, and are simply the opinions of one or more Opinionated Parents.

Who

The Opinionated Parent(s) are just that. People who have both bred and have opinions.

We work together to give you the goods, parent to parent.

How do you choose the products you promote?

If we use something and love it, we tell you about it.
If we use something and we don’t like it, you’ll hear about that too.
We are often contacted by companies who would like their products reviewed. We receive samples from them to test and give you our honest opinions.
We DO refuse if the product does not meet our criteria.
Many of our reviewed products come from reader recommendations.

If you produce, promote or sell something you’d like to send us for review, email us.

If you have a suggestion for something you’d like to see reviewed, email us.

A current example of our statistics: In July 2010 we averaged 1464 unique visitors/day (28 672 for the month).
